Why does everyone hate James?? Someone explain this to me. He loves her & is trying to help her. He doesn’t know the kings a murderer, he just thinks he’s a jerk... which he is. People are saying the kings so nice to her… she’s a prisoner!! I get liking the “bad boy” but he’s a monster… he’s not Damian (from young master Damien’s pet) or Rayven or Skender (from heart of darkness) or Lucian (from married to the devils son)… they were all at least decent/likable monsters.

But I was also mistrusting from the start, staying closed off in the beginning and then expecting too much from him. We never talked about things, always just falling into bed together. This is to everyone who’s saying he’s lying & not worth her time: what has he done to her? He was fully clothed with Serena! Jess even heard him say “what are you doing?”!! So he flirted with some skanks at his bar. He’s right, he does need to be friendly to his customers. & by the sound of the book he’s got women hitting on him all the time, he can’t be a jerk to all of them. He prob could flirt less but that’s all he’s done. Jess is crazy & annoying & immature & freaks out way too much. Of course he answered her mom weirdly, they hadn’t even talked about marriage or kids, & with his history it’s not surprising he freaked out. He never cheated on her or even came close. He treats her like a queen. People are saying he’s said this speech before & he doesn’t mean it: yeah he’s said the same thing over & over because Jess keeps fighting about everything & making him say it over & over. It’s tiring & she’s annoying. That’s all. Just wanted to stick up for him because he really hasn’t done anything wrong, especially considering his past & how open he’s been… I think he’s been a great boyfriend.
