I can appreciate that thought. For the reading part it’s more so that orphanages work a little differently in Elenoir in my head. Elves are much more close knit, shown in they don’t do schools but rather a teacher and disciple. I felt 5 was a good age for an orphan elf to have been taught to read by the orphanage caretakers. I will admit I slacked off heavily on the integration of Leo from beast into Elf culture. That’s why I just followed the og story’s timeskip, so I wouldn’t have to do that. I tried to explain it as just sort of following Arthur’s lead, and that’s why he doesn’t do much talking in the beginning, just internal thoughts. All of this can be attributed to this being my first FF back writing, and it’s taking time to get back into the swing of things. I’m glad you’re enjoying even with the plot holes lol.

original Festival of Champions fic (Pokemon)
Fanfic based on a fanfic? Basically. Festival of Champions is a Pokemon fan manga based on Red, Green and Blue. Fell in love with their take on the story and of course the panels were top tier. Decided to try and add on to it, give a view of the journey up to the indigo league. more so than the manga did. Anyways my character for this is named Grey, continuing the colors for names. He is childhood friends with the main 3. Little to no emotions, not in an edgy way but more like he just doesn’t feel openly or intensely. He uses his Pokemon journey to find his passion. Starter Pokémon will be Dratini. Hopefully I can do this justice2 Chs 3 Collections

power is everything for a mana beast from the beast glades. That is no different for the MC, a Lunar Leopard. However his lifespan is reaching its end and he still hasn’t achieved his goal of Evolving to the next stage. The stage passed what the 2 legged call S class. The Lunar Leopard has seen the beings that have ascended to the next stage and know the power they posses. That’s why he decides on a shortcut of sorts. He knows that the pointy eared, the round ears and the shorties search for the cores of his fellow mana beasts. Specifically ones with Beast Wills inside them. The Lunar Leopards goal is to defeat the human that tries to attain his beast will and take over that human. Maybe then he’ll finally achieve the power he’s been dreaming of.14 Chs 89 Collections
The way I remember it only certain people were able to see peoples mana cores. Just that even the people that could see them couldn’t sense the mana of mages stronger than them. Leo can sense the cores of higher stages because he used to be a mana beast of higher power.
"Yes?" I responded with confusion. Couldn't everyone see the mana cores of other mages and their affinities. I suppose that lined up though because no one besides Arthur had ever commented on it. Even the old man always asked what my core was, though I thought he was just being polite.
