Ik it's been a while, but the move miracle eye exists, literally only used so psychics can affect darks, not useful in games with limited move slots but in a fic like this its safe to assume every high level psychic pokemon and trainer has access to it.
Slowpoke and Murkrow tried to move, but their bodies wouldn't respond. Although Murkrow, being a Dark-type Pokémon, is immune to psychic abilities, Sabrina, as the Psychic Queen, had ways of dealing with Dark-type Pokémon, so Murkrow couldn't resist her power.

Is the second one responsible for spiritomb then? And the other man made pokemon like the golerk and baltoy lines what with them messing with souls sounding like alchemy and that always ends up including creation of life in some way.
Knowing what I did about the third human civilization, both were possible, and I was certain that it was their fault in some form or way. The other theories that speculated that a natural event caused the dissapreance were less interesting to me due to the impression I had of the third era.
