The boy is just sick, not dying! Both she and he don't want to relate, just live their own lives. If you don't like the main character, why are you still reading? Do you have a problem? I try to respect everyone's opinion. But your comments are greatly exaggerated. Things like 'she's disgusting' or 'she's not a human being'. What did she do to receive those words? She is not his mother and has no responsibility to him. They both just treat each other like strangers. She was going to ask them to send him to the hospital, that already shows that she is human.
