Um, actually they kinda do make shows and movies about boring normal life. Stuff like romance movies and stories (romcom), daily life vlogs/blogs and normal life shows (Modern Family, Liv & Madie, ICarly, the O.C., Young Sheldon, Big Bang, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Friends). Animes about normal teen life and adult life are also very common.

Also, his actions dictate he has a sense of purpose, he just doesn't have a goal. I personally have never had a goal in life but that hasn't stopped me from being a living human being. Some people have life-long goals and others just don't have any goals but still achieve a meaningful life.

Now he just wants to be a teacher, bestrong enough to protect himself and his students and he did mention he didn't like the ninja system so he might change the whole ninja system to be more like it's version in the original Naruto/Boruto future. Also this is a translation so none of our criticism matters. 🤷‍♂️

Why wouldn't he? That's a kage level battle which will be great for combat experience and gauging the strengths and weaknesses of the kage-level combatants on the battlefield. There's also the fact that defeating the enemy jonin in the surroundings will reveal his strength directly to the higher ups instead of through reports.
