I misunderstood then. My bad!
Naturally, while he was at the restaurant, Bu Qiong had sneakily told him that if he liked the dishes, he could help him source the raw ingredients for half the price, and some of the baked goods at three-quarters as long as he bought over a crate. Industrious and hard-working as Bu Qiong was, he was also a d*mn conman sometimes!

How did he recognise him? Wasn't he impersonating Mu Di Bai at that point? Am I tripping?

Gotta be honest, Author-san, at this point the mutation prices mean nothing to me. You could say 60 was expensive or 460 was expensive. Without a frame of reference with actual points Anthony has and the speed he gains them, it feels like "Time for mandatory power boost" instead of "We've been grinding in detail, so we know how much effort does it take" Not a bad thing, really. But a thing to consider
Just those two mutations are going to cost me one hundred and sixty five a piece. It's so expensive to mutate at this tier… and it's harder than ever to get a decent amount of Biomass! Those stomach mutations are a lifesaver, seriously.

This whole plot line is weird. So if you cut someone with a Royal Bloodline and make them bleed, their Bloodline gets diluted? It's just blood? Not marrow, not something mystical, just... Blood? It gets replaced all the time in our body.
North Bund probably
"Fortunately Mr. Tang didn't rename Wanhuatower to '91 Tower'; otherwise, I would really wonder if I had encountered a fellow villager."

You'd expect South Continent then to have a culture of slavery and even some kind of breeding practices to increase the population for sacrifices, no? Especially if their spells can ensure control over the population to prevent rebellions. If the power of cultivators there lies in the sheer numbers of people they can sacrifice in their rituals, surely they would try to increase their own power? If it's the question of food, they would invest into cultivation techniques that would help with agriculture and animal husbandry, for instance. Might sound counterintuitive, but if you need more dudes, you have to ensure you can have more dudes. I wonder what's the situation on the Southern Continent that prevents that? Or are Warlocks and Witches to conceited to bother with such matters even if that would make them more powerful by proxy?
Of course, this technique was a case of sacrificing eight hundred troops for a thousand, and with the South's relatively scarce population in comparison to the prosperous Central and Eastern Continents, this was a last resort technique for the South as well.

So if he finds a connection to his old world, he'll destroy it? That is pretty grim
