I really like this way of locking the fusion state. It was getting way too overpowered.

it's been a while since I read the rest of the book so maybe im just forgetting things, but could we get a more in-depth description of perfect harmony? Because if their movements are supposed to be in sync, how can one clone block while the others attack, or are they breaking the perfect harmony for a short time and then entering it again.
The mad captain could only accept the beating. Everytime he wanted to retaliate and attack, one of them would immediately go forward to block it while the others would go forward to attack his blindspots.
