Hmmmm. What about trying to make a cultivation technique that adjusts itself to the one cultivating it? He has already seen AI inserted inside one, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to make one that adepts to one's physique, bonus points if he makes it so you can't benefit from outside resources and has to 'cultivate' (not really just that the technique stops you from advancing on its own) by being virtuous!

I just had an amazing idea, what if when you start messing with genetics you make a virus that changes the way plants and animals cultivate. Animals and plants seem to instinctively cultivate from what you've told so far, change those instincts so they cultivate following the new way the MC made, the more plants the better the QI!

Time to make a soul cultivation technique for the crazy grandpa. Maybe it will remember more stuff if it recovers a bit of his soul.
