This is from the perception of this world so if the adaptation happens after like getting poisoned and then they get a resistance, then most likely they didn’t live long enough to get the resistance. However a Hanma would be able to survive getting burned, poisened, and mental attacks long enough to get the resistance.

This story has a very intelligent Mc that has to work with his power and has an extreme amount of potential for the future. The character interactions are some of the best I have read in a while, especially the snarky comebacks.
