As a soon-to-be chieftain, Ashlani's responsibilities were numerous, complex, and often boring. As a recently reincarnated keelish (a reptilian pest), his responsibilities only extend to 1. survive another day, 2. keep his belly full, and 3. kill anything that keeps him from numbers 1 and 2. Oh, and, if the opportunity arises, take revenge on his friend turned brother turned murderer. Ashlani was sent on his inaugural hunt as the chieftain-to-be of his tribe when he was shot in the back by the man he was closest to, the one he called his closest friend. Post-mortem, he was greeted by a [System], the elect, singular keelish representative. Now, his focus must be on continuous growth and evolution, to awaken to his grand potential, and lead his new people to a new age. This is a reboot of my previous novel, Ashlani's Reincarnation, a grimdark take on a LitRPG reincarnation novel. This is a slower, more methodical approach to story, and I hope that its quality will reflect that. I update five times a week, usually weekdays, but if I miss a weekday, I make it up over the weekend.

All she knows is that she is a mud lizard and that she needs to fight and kill to survive and ascend. Evolutions and occupations are presented to her, but she knows nothing about what they are or how to acquire them. As her path unfolds before her, she must understand where the command to ascend comes from, and if she should, in fact, do as it says. The Divine Path is a fast-paced, progress-focused, action-packed monster evolution novel with eventual light cultivation. Khall starts as a hatchling, and her intelligence reflects that. Once she experiences her first evolution (within the first ten chapters), she will become much smarter.

Ashlani was hunting keelish, a large bipedal reptile commonly seen as a pest, near his home village when he was betrayed by one he thought was his friend, which led to him being killed by the keelish he was trying to hunt. Shortly thereafter, he found himself reborn as a keelish spawn himself, and next thing he knew, he heard a voice, welcoming him to his new life. Ashlani was hatching as an ordinary keelish spawn himself, but was offered the opportunity to evolve from just a normal keelish into an assortment of superior ones. So begins Ashlani's new life, and, his pursuit of vengeance! This is me reattempting something I tried to write on tapas a couple of years ago. I’m going to try to be consistent on updates, but the whole “day job” thing gets in the way sometimes.
