I felt like he was a bad character because ‘evil man bad’. Could’ve been flushed out a bit to understand why he went the route of believing in brainwashed soldiers and stuff. I mean, I understand the dissatisfaction with his old pal Hirozen. But not for the reason the show gave. Never read the comics so can’t speak on that. But the whole Hirozen stepped up to sacrifice himself when danzo froze made sense on why Danzo didn’t get the tap for promotion. But doesn’t justify the hate. Hirozen failing to capitalize on two world wars, barely able to win them but with no gains made makes more sense to me, but everyone kinda brushes over that from what I saw.
