True. It just seemed a bit weird to me that some were spared while others killed - mainly those who didn't keep their mouths shut - but I'm not exactly big on mind games and stuff that requires more brain power than I can offer this early in the morning.
Thanks for pointing that out though, it does help piece the reasoning together more.
Well, this is definitely different from what I expected. Although it still seems strange that he would claim to be the one who killed those farmers.
Even if there won't be connection to his human form.
Love the chapter. Thanks.
They call themselves 'reincarnated ones'. They are minds who wandered off of their own body and away from their own world.
For us, they are invaders. A force that has shown a great potential not to create, but to destroy and bring chaos.
~
Those minds that do not belong are dangerous. Strange dreams and emotions of unknown origin were just the start of it all. Some ideas might prove to be good ones and sometimes their knowledge helps us survive and learn.
But the truth is, they were not meant for this world. Not only they destroy the balance while following their own rules, but they walk paths that were not meant for the bodies they stole. If this continues, my home will be one of those that are now lying in ashes.
It was meant to be human problem. It is mostly their children whose minds are stolen. It is the human race, which is meant to be affected the most.
But reincarnators are greedy. For power, resources, land, knowledge and more. And if it is not humans who will stand up to stop them from destroying our own world, then who?
I will.
My path had ended, but I was left standing. I might not be human, but I think I was soul-touched by a being similar to them.
What does that mean?
It means that I now know just how dangerous those damaged minds can be.
