as someone who worked in a hospital you can get stuck by a needle accidentally I got stuck by one handling the trash it happens and it sucks because you have to keep getting tested so much pretty sure if she got HIV from a needle while working at the hospital the hospital would be entitled to help her and compensate her
It had only been about a week since the Alien City had flown over the Wallace house letting the whole world know they were not alone in the universe. In this short window of time Eli had turned 14 and his mother had gotten HIV from a drug addict while working at the hospital as a Nurse. When Eli's father found out, he abandoned his family and left them to fend for themselves.
