I have a theory: maybe Sunny is unable to turn Echos that he didn't kill into a Shadow because the process of turning an echo into a Shadow involves fusing the Echo with the shadow of the Nightmare Creature that Sunny collects in his Soul Sea after he kills them. Therefore for Echos he didn't kill and earn himself, he may be unable to turn them into Shadows because he lacks their actual shadows. (This shadow/Shadow talk is confusing😅)
As if answering her words, the rapier suddenly circled around the blind girl and returned to its... her?.. previous position. It was still pointing at Sunny in a rather unfriendly way, though.

Isn't Fallen Terror the level of the guardian guarding the crimson spire??? How strong was the legendary cohort to somehow get a Tier 6 Ascended Memory of the same level??? Did they somehow happen to come across a dying Nightmare similar to Gunlaug? Or was this the guardian of the castle that they actually managed to take down with grievous losses? Either way the legendary cohort was OP.
"Actually, this armor has quite a story. It once belonged to a member of the legendary cohort that conquered this Castle. Some even say that it belonged to the first Lord himself. Supposedly, it had an enchantment that made it much lighter back then."

With my IMMENSE experience of predicting future novel events and after contributing a small part of my MASTERFUL deductive skills to dissect this author's comment, I have come to a preliminary conclusion: RAIN WILL BE A NIGHTMARE CARRIER in a couple of years.
