I think its becuase of the universe LAWS. Campione universe autorithy possesion is done after a god is slayed via ritual and interference of a goddess, Pandora. She facilitates this process. DxD gods have died before but their autorithyes were not taken. Each world/universe has its own laws which react differently in the same situation. Tho idk if the 2nd and after god slayed after becoming a campione makes this process automatic or still needs pandora to a degree.
