It's the practicality of it. It's originally a farm tool for cutting grass. It looks cool but imagine fighting a sword user with it, the handle would have to be made with metal to block a strike since the actual blade is so far away from your body and you need to constantly keep momentum control for the same reason. It's kind of like trying to fight with a staff that has a scimitar strapped on the end xD

Our protagonist, Matt Simmons, lives in a normal modern day earth until he gets a sudden visit from Truck-kun. Then the world slowly but surely falls to anarchy. Will our protagonist save it from the brink, watch it burn or maybe he will pick a third choice? This is not planned as an isekai novel as of this moment.
