Well you see in this situation he is still wearing his weighted clothing. as shown in previous chapters, Xue Chang still isnt used to moving around or fighting with them. This causes him to expend more energy and put in more effort to correct his techniques. Not to mention he is still in a child’s body, a powerful child yes, but a child nonetheless
Although there wasn't much bright about this situation. Even though the bear wasn't doing so well, Xue Chang's stamina wasn't limitless either. He strength was being swapped out at a rapid rate and he wouldn't be able to keep up this battle for long.
