seline would be a great character to build up as an antagonist that gets offed later. as of right now ram has no real connections with the shadow society and has never felt the suppression of the heart insect. even though ram upgraded his already it wouldn't be surprising of seline still had a higher quality one that he couldn't just act like an idiot when dealing with her. actually suffering a loss give the mc motivation to do better and become stronger. maybe cripple one of his friends that he can help heal later or something? being forced to answer her questions even though she doesn't ask the right ones and he survives and keeps his secrets by the skin of his teeth. being forced to hurt the people close to him. being forced to give her the core of one of his wood spirits because she needs it for her attribute or because she's vain and likes to trap them in cages and tortures them. makes him black out and he's barely rescued by his group that escapes by the skin of their teeth because another unexpected plot begins to unfold giving them the opportunity to make a break for it. so on and so forth.

I like this book and I'm for sure waiting for updates. but it seems more often then not that the chapters don't go anywhere. it feels more like we're reading your personal notes instead of having the story and plot move forward. for example over explaining seline while also saying she's mysterious and hardly anyone knows except the few that survive is just contradictory. is seline going to be a main reoccurring character that our M.C. faces? also going back and forth constantly explaining monster dens which we've talked about dozens of times already is exhausting. I find that skimming your paragraphs for dialog without all the fuller stuff pretty much is the only thing worth mentioning in the chapters. your world building, skills, ambitions, and character designs so far have been really nice. I wouldn't consider this novel a slow burn since about half of the chapter is saying redundant things. I hope we can get to a point where you don't have to continue to over explain yourself. actions speak louder than words get the characters out there and let them experience the world. the plot armor has been extremely thick. if I had to say one thing it would be that this would be an excellent novel for beginners who have never read light novels. but it's definitely a drag for those who've read novels and watch anime a majority of their life. write and be confident 💪🏽
