Even though it wasn't real and probably couldn't help make the Elixir of Life, Harry thought it could still be useful to figure out how the real stone was made. So, he wasn't too disappointed. He hadn't expected much anyway, since he didn't think the Flamels were scared of Voldemort and would give this important artifact of their life to Dumbledore to guard.

I think that would backfire. The most probable outcome would be that Harry is seen as shielding his brother’s flaws, and in the end, it could be quite problematic for Harry. After all, Harry and Snape have managed to go through two years without paying much attention to each other, beyond a barely existent teacher-student relationship.
Harry simply smiled at the unfolding drama and turned his attention back to his meal. For him, food and the tasks ahead were more important than the ongoing gossip. With so many potential developments involving Charles throughout the year, Harry knew he needed to stay focused and not let these distractions waste his valuable time.
