I liked how it skipped through the unneccessary battles between other contestants. There were a bunch of other tournament arcs in other novels that dragged on for multiple chapters and it wasnt even the MC fighting

The god might find it boring, but I think the pill is the best one. Being a mage means he would essentially be unrestricted to anywhere he wants to go since he can blend in with everyone else. Mana shield access needs no more armor. Doesnt need to hide his affinities and can train in the open, as well as have the mage path to power now accessible to reference from for making his own unique path. Its basically the all-in-one choice as an ultimate reward.

The trials was only interesting if there was any interaction like when Shang met Mervin and Charles in there, as well as the God. If you plan to add more interactions in those trials again in the future, I’m all for it.
