Yea, I agree. When Hisoka brings this up during the heavens arena arc, he’s known Gon for a bit at this point and has some knowledge of his character. Even then it was still a trick to get Gon to say his nen type, meaning Hisoka wasn’t completely sure that Gon was an enhancement type. Also even if we accept the premise that nen is a reflection of one’s personality, people lie and act differently then who they really are, all the time so it’s still an unreliable test.
