Chapitre 3: Chapter 3: A Second Chance

Zue opened his eyes to a luxurious room. It was a far cry from the modest bedroom he had just left. The room was palatial, with a king-size bed, a vaulted ceiling, and glittering chandeliers hanging overhead. The walls were lined with paintings and exotic artifacts, and he could feel the air conditioning blowing cool air on him.

As he sat up on the bed, he saw a note with his name written on it. It read, "Welcome back, Zue. We know you will make the most of your second chance. Look around and remember that you have the power to make things right."

Zue looked around the room, and as he explored, he found pictures of himself with his friends and family from his youth. He saw moments of happiness and success in those photographs, but he also saw many instances of hostility and selfishness that he cringed at.

He thought about his wife, how he had neglected her and taken her for granted, and promised himself to make it up to her. Zue was determined to do better this time, to make amends for his past mistakes.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, looked around the room, and thought about how he had gotten so far from his true self in the past. As he sat there, he dug deep into his memories and relived the moments when he had lost himself, when he had let his greed and self-importance override everything else.

"I was so selfish," Zue said to himself. "I only looked out for myself and never cared about anyone else. I have to change that. I have to make things right."

He got up and walked around the room again, slowly taking in everything that had been arranged for him. It was almost as if the room itself was trying to tell him something, reminding him of the mistakes he had made and what he needed to do to make amends.

As he looked around, he saw a set of drums and picked up a pair of drumsticks, reminiscing his days playing in a band with his old friends. He played a few beats and felt his old self coming back to him, full of passion and creativity.

"Enough of the past," Zue said aloud. "It's time for me to care about others, to make up for lost time."

He walked into the en-suite bathroom, and the first thing he noticed was a huge bathtub

Zue sat down in the bathtub and closed his eyes. He focused on his breathing, trying to clear his mind, but he couldn't help his thoughts racing back to his past mistakes. He had so much to make up for, so many bridges to rebuild, so much to do.

As he opened his eyes, he saw a picture of him and his wife, Sea, from their engagement day. It was a beautiful memory, but Zue had ignored her ever since their marriage. His priorities had always been his business, and he had failed to be the husband she deserved.

Zue made a firm decision to change that to make sure he made things right, breathing in the scent of the fresh soap he had just put in the tub. He wanted to be the best husband he could be, and nothing would stop him.

As he bathed, he started to reminisce about the Zhang family and his wife's Lansir family, one of his family's business partners, Zainkalato, and everything that had happened in the past, good and bad.

He thought about his father, one of the successful businessmen in the US, who had always wanted Zue to take over the family business. But Zue had set his own goals and made his own mistakes, choices that were not well received by his family.

Zue had wanted to see the world, travel, and learn new things, but his father had always kept him close to home, keeping him on a tight leash like he had no mind of his own. Zue refused and joined another family business connected with Lansir family.

However, as time passed, he drifted away from them as he became more and more engrossed in the glamorous life that his success brought him.

Zue thought about how his father had always been proud of him, but he still failed his son by trying to mold him into something he wasn't. His father's stubbornness led to the deterioration of the relationship between father and son, despite Zue's accomplishments.

Though he had gone on to achieve great success, it had come at a great cost; his relationships with his family and the woman he loved dearly.

He continued to think about everything that he had done wrong, the people he had hurt, and the relationships he lost. He knew that he had to change, and this was the opportunity he had been waiting for.

He got out of the bathtub and sat down in front of the bathtub, his mind drifting back to the past. He felt a deep sense of regret for how he had treated his wife, Sea, and how he had neglected their relationship in pursuit of success.

"I can't believe how blind I was," Zue muttered to himself, "I was so focused on impressing the world, but I ended up hurting the one person who truly mattered to me. I neglected her, took her for granted, and for what? Validation from strangers?"

He shook his head, a sense of remorse washing over him. He had always prided himself on being able to handle any situation, but when it came to his personal life, he had failed miserably.

"I thought money and success were the only measures of happiness," Zue continued, "but I realize now that I was wrong. It's the love and support of the people around you that truly matter. And I let that slip away."

He looked back at the photograph of him and Sea, and his heart ached. He missed her, missed the love they shared, and everything they had built together.

"I'm going to make things right," Zue vowed, "I'm going to show her how much I love her, how much she means to me. And I'm going to make up for all the time I lost chasing something that was never there."

Determined to make amends, Zue got dressed and walked out of the bathroom. He made his way to the living room, where he found a letter on the coffee table addressed to him.

As he opened the letter, he saw that it was from one of his father's business partners, Corporate Zainkalato. The letter contained details of a meeting that was to take place in a week's time, an important meeting that would determine the future of the family business.

Zue knew that this was a crucial opportunity for him, a chance to salvage his relationships with his family and prove his worth. But he also knew that he couldn't let his priorities get away from him again.

"I'll make sure to balance my time," Zue said out loud, "I won't let the pursuit of success come at the cost of those who matter most to me."

He picked up the phone and dialed Sue's number. As the phone rang, he thought about all the things he wanted to say to her, all the ways he wanted
