The duke's knights marched without words, the atmosphere was like at a funeral. They wanted to leave their homes smiling but were holding back their tears.

The captain's bad mood was so visible that no one dared to let a single sound.

Cassiel's face was dark as if he didn't sleep properly for a week. He wondered if it would be too much if he just returned to the castle and asked Violet for a hug at least. 

But wasn't it too much?

Wouldn't it be better to leave as soon as possible, so he won't be tempted by ridiculous thoughts?

"We are speeding up," he said without a change in expression.

"Huh? But we are still in the city?" His deputy was confused. Victor Kahler was from a fallen noble house and was raised to his position after being recognized for his swordsmanship skill. He was chosen as Cassiel's right-hand man because they trusted his loyalty and the young knight proudly accepted the position.
