The thin ice layer covered her skin, the frost and any harmful particles that could get into her body through the mouth, nose or even eyes.

After the encounter with the arachnid monster, the Sage made sure she knew how to protect herself when encountering the poison. Many herbs have a threatening side to them or are guarded by strong monsters. Recognizing the damaging substance was one of the alchemist's basic skills.

She grabbed Galen who was fighting against the smog on his own and dragged him over to unconscious Ophelia. If he was alone, he would find the to fight through the enemy trap, but that would mean leaving the girls behind. 

As soon as they were put together, Violet summoned the ice cage that would keep the poison away. Since she didn't have time to analyse the green substance, she burned some common detoxifying herbs in the hope of neutralizing the toxin.
