This was easy to see just by looking at her eyes, they seemed to resemble those of a dead person, no sign of brilliance in them at all. 

If he did not sense the situation in her body and the residual Qi of power that has yet to be expelled from her body, he might not have recognized her, because for Musk what he did back then was not a big deal in his way of thinking.
