Chapitre 45: CH45

"Deep Blue, analyze the spell models for Ice Shield, Mana Shield, and Blink. Calculate the time and magic consumption needed for constructing these models."

As soon as Helag got home, he started reviewing the spell models for the three spells. After going through them, he instructed Deep Blue to input and analyze the data.

[Task logged, data input, and analysis in progress…]

A minute later, Deep Blue provided the results.

[Level 0 spell Ice Shield: estimated model construction time fifteen minutes, estimated magic consumption 13%.]

[Level 0 spell Mana Shield: estimated model construction time twenty minutes, estimated magic consumption 15%.]

[Level 0 spell Blink: estimated model construction time thirty minutes, estimated magic consumption 21%.]

[Total time for sequential execution of three tasks: sixty-six minutes,

estimated magic consumption 40%.]

Helag looked at the calculations and muttered, "Deep Blue can only execute tasks sequentially, not simultaneously. The magic consumption isn't too high. I'll complete these three spells today."

He then gave the command, "Deep Blue, start constructing the spell models for Ice Shield, Mana Shield, and Blink."

[Task logged…]

In Helag's mind, Deep Blue began with Ice Shield, constructing the three spell models one by one.

To an ordinary wizard apprentice, Helag would seem crazy. No one would attempt to construct three spell models consecutively.

Sixty-six minutes later.

[Spell models constructed.]

Ordinary wizard apprentices would take at least a year to master these three spells. Helag took just over an hour.

"Six Level 0 spells: four defensive, one offensive, and one for movement."

Helag tallied the spells he had mastered. As long as he wasn't facing an official wizard or a strong third-class apprentice, he should be able to protect himself.

"I'll go mushroom hunting again in a few days. For now, I'll study these spell models." Helag had only one magic stone left. He needed money for potion courses and practicing potion brewing.

Gathering Sleeping Mushrooms was currently the most efficient and safest task. Helag planned to exploit this task as much as possible.

***

Three days later, Helag set out for Moonlight Forest again.

Shortly after he left, a figure emerged from a corner, none other than Sunny, who was with Macken.

He took out his rune stone and messaged Macken, "He's left, heading towards Moonlight Forest."

"Finally! He's out!" Macken had been waiting with Sunny near Helag's house since learning about his mushroom haul.

They had taken turns watching Helag's house for three days and finally saw him leave.

Macken suspected Helag had a special method for quickly finding Sleeping Mushrooms. Helag was just a newly joined first-class apprentice. Macken and Sunny figured they could easily overpower him, force out his method, and earn a lot of magic stones by gathering mushrooms.

Macken was already considering how to deal with Sunny afterward. He saw Helag as an easy target but needed to handle Sunny carefully.

***

Helag waited at the station for the Hellfoot carriage. He glanced back, not seeing Sunny or Macken.

He smiled, "It doesn't matter if they come along."

Deep Blue's environmental detection range was 250 meters, so Sunny and Macken were already within Helag's view.

[Sunny: Strength 2.0, Agility 1.8, Constitution 2.8, Spirit 6.7]

[Macken: Strength 2.1, Agility 2.2, Constitution 3.1, Spirit 7.3]

Helag had already memorized their stats, waiting for them to take the bait.

Moonlight Woodland and the Northern Forest District prohibited fighting, but Moonlight Woodland didn't ban members from killing each other.

Conflicts of interest among wizards were normal. They had to resolve their disputes outside, and Moonlight Woodland wouldn't interfere.

Survival of the fittest was the rule here. Only those who survived were more valuable to the Woodland.

Unless you were an important figure in Moonlight Woodland, no one cared about your life or death as long as it didn't disrupt the Woodland's order.

This was why Macken and Sunny had to wait outside. They couldn't act in the Northern Forest District. They had to wait until Helag reached Moonlight Forest to strike.

Helag was alone in the carriage. When he reached the Moonlight Forest entrance, he walked inside, waiting for Macken and Sunny to arrive.

Soon, the next carriage arrived, and Macken and Sunny got off.

They looked around cautiously.

"That kid should be inside already," Macken said, looking at the dense forest.

"Should we split up? I'll search the left, you take the right?" Sunny suggested.

Macken nodded, "Sure. If you find him, don't act rashly. Notify me, and we'll take him down together."

"No problem," Sunny agreed with a smile.

They entered the forest and split up. Macken thought, "I'll take down that kid and then deal with you."

Sunny, walking a distance away, glanced back at Macken's position.

He had the same plan as Macken: get Helag's secret and then eliminate Macken.

"Helag, you better not go to the right," Macken muttered, moving through the forest and observing the tracks.

He soon noticed trampled bushes and human footprints.

Sunny was delighted, "Helag went this way."

In the dark forest, Helag monitored Sunny through Deep Blue's environmental detection.

He had heard their initial conversation clearly. He stayed at the maximum range of Deep Blue's detection, ensuring he could track their positions without exposing himself.

Helag waited for them to separate enough to take them down one by one.

He chose Sunny first, as he was relatively weaker.

Helag lurked in the forest, retreating as Sunny advanced, maintaining distance.

The tracks in the forest were deliberately left to lure Sunny deeper.

When Sunny reached a relatively open area, Helag made his move.

A Corrosive Arrow quickly formed in his hand, silently shooting towards Sunny's abdomen.

Sunny was in an area with no tall trees, only low bushes.

Hearing the sound of something cutting through the air, Sunny became alert.

When he saw the bushes beside him being cut down, he realized the danger and instinctively dodged.

The Corrosive Arrow grazed his waist, not piercing his stomach but leaving a wound, which was enough.
