Chapitre 276: Chapter 276: Hail Hydra!

After more than a month of effort, Clark managed to release Hank Pym as a hero.

During New Year's, Clark organized a grand celebration party for the Avengers, not just to welcome the new year, but primarily to celebrate Pym's release.

At the party, even Tony, who wasn't always supportive of Clark, couldn't help but praise, "I didn't expect you to uncover the secret behind this incident. Honestly, we all thought Ultron was an accidental result of Dr. Pym's experiments."

"Now that I think about it, there were many suspicious points," Tony analyzed. "Firstly, the sudden transformation of Breeze after its upgrade was illogical. Then, it evolved incredibly fast, hypnotizing both its creators, Pym and Daisy, without their knowledge."

"If there was no mastermind behind this, it would be hard to explain. And, I've heard hypnosis is Hydra's specialty. Too bad I didn't think of it earlier."

Heh...

Clark simply smiled humbly, thinking: If I told the truth now, Tony's ego might not easily sway. So, does the success of this case mean I have a talent for crime?

In fact, Clark was the only one who knew the full story of fabricating the truth. Even Pym and Matthew, who helped fabricate evidence, only knew bits and pieces.

Clark, of course, didn't clarify Tony's misunderstanding. Let this beautiful misunderstanding continue.

Just then, a tall, beautiful waitress brought a juice to Clark. "Sir, this is for you."

"I didn't order this," Clark responded, puzzled.

"It's on the house. The lady over there sent it," the waitress explained, pointing towards Sharon in a sexy dress, smiling and waving at him.

Tony, seeing this, commented jealously, "I'm really starting to envy your charm. Go for it, I'll talk with Cap and the others." Patting Clark's shoulder, he walked away towards Captain America's group.

As Clark turned towards Sharon again, she winked and gestured towards the juice in front of him.

Looking down, Clark noticed a note under the cup, written: "I'm waiting for you on the rooftop. Don't stand me up."

The note was signed "Temporal Paradox."

Could it be him!? Surprised, Clark nodded at Sharon and teleported to the building's rooftop using the Space Stone.

On the rooftop, a familiar old man stood at the edge, gazing at the city lights below. His strength wasn't formidable, and with age, he was no longer at his physical peak, barely stronger than an average old man.

Yet, this ordinary old man exuded an aura of solidity and reliability, as if he were the same superhero who had shouldered humanity's fate multiple times.

Among Clark's acquaintances, few could command such presence. Odin and the Ancient One were exceptions, but they were gods and supreme sorcerers, respectively.

The man before Clark was a mere mortal.

A mortal on par with gods.

Tony Stark? Impossible. He wasn't old enough. This man was the elder Captain America, who returned to the past after a lifetime of heroism.

"Steve." Although he faced a genuine centenarian, Clark couldn't bring himself to address him as a senior. Otherwise, addressing the younger Cap would become awkward.

Turning around, the elderly Captain America smiled warmly. "I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly. I was just getting into my dramatic pose."

"How could I be late to an appointment?" Clark sighed. "In 1999, Tony stood up a man on the rooftop during a New Year's party, busy womanizing instead. Years later, that man returned as a vengeful ghost who nearly killed him. His name was Aldrich Killian. You might have heard of him."

Captain America was surprised, "I never heard Tony mention that." Then he understood, "With Tony's personality, he wouldn't broadcast such embarrassing stories."

Looking back at the city lights, Captain America fell silent, and Clark stood beside him quietly, sharing the view.

After a moment, Captain America spoke again, "I didn't expect you to handle Ultron so perfectly. In our timeline, fighting Ultron caused significant civilian casualties."

"It even led to a civil war between Tony and me. We couldn't cooperate fully for a long time, eventually facing defeat by Thanos, forcing us to travel through time."

Clark responded modestly, "Actually, your advice was crucial in avoiding many pitfalls. The battle against Ultron was essentially a race against time."

Waving his hand, Captain America suddenly asked, "The real mastermind behind Ultron... was it truly Baron Strucker of Hydra?"

Clark couldn't admit to fabricating evidence. He looked towards the moon, "Today's sunlight is beautiful."

Understanding Clark's evasion, Captain America smiled knowingly, then shifted topics, "Clark, last time you asked if I had any conflict with the Soul Stone's guardian when I returned it. I only said one thing to him, and he dropped his hostility."

The two, old and young, simultaneously uttered the phrase they both found absurd: "Hail Hydra!"

Simultaneously, fireworks burst in the distant sky, marking the new year. The time officially entered 2014, a different year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Then, Captain America took out a suitcase and placed it before Clark. "Actually, my main reason for coming is to give you this. It's no longer useful to me, but humanity will face various crises in the future. Perhaps you might need it."

Clark expected Captain America's most valuable possession to be his shield. Opening the suitcase, he found not a shield, but a black and white suit with red trimmings.

The suit, bearing a black "A" logo encircled on the chest and arms, screamed Tony Stark in design but resembled the Ant-Man suit in material.

Interested, Clark examined the suit closely.

"This is a quantum suit Tony customized for us. We used it to travel through time to collect the Infinity Stones," Captain America explained as Clark studied the suit.

Clark had guessed its purpose at first glance, but hearing Captain America confirm it was still a shock.

What happens when Hank Pym and Tony Stark's genius minds collaborate? This suit was the answer.

A suit capable of traversing time and space!

"Of course, I hope you'll never need to use it. Please try not to delve into the realm of time unless absolutely necessary," Captain America paused, then smiled, "But it's too precious to destroy, and keeping it with me isn't safe."

"You, an extraordinary being, have the strength to protect it."

After saying this, Captain America looked back at the city lights, appearing as just another ordinary old man, relishing the ordinary, easy life.

Silently storing the quantum suit in his personal space, Clark suddenly spoke, "It's windy tonight, and it's not good for your health to stay out too long. Let me use the Space Stone to send you home to rest."

Captain America smiled, asking, "You have urgent matters?"

Clark nodded slightly, "An old brother of mine just contacted me telepathically. He seems to need my help urgently. I have to go check on him."
