"I did let her accompany me to my lab, however," Renee carefully held her fairy into her lap and gently wiped her lips with a soft napkin that was smeared with cream and crumbs. "I didn't let her accompany me to my original working room, but some things still bother me." She let out a worried look. "Was she able to find the cure before me or...?"

"Lady Renee," Lucien was now done with her tea. "Don't let frustrations hit you now when you are near the end. A piece of advice though," she puts down the empty cup on the saucer, placing it on the table. "But before that, when are you planning to let His Majesty know about your result?"

In the end, Lucien didn't reveal her spirit she recently made a contract with. It was simply hard to trust someone who trust you without a doubt. She decided to wait for some time until she feels that the FL could be trusted.
