Hannuri Dormitory
Alexandra dropped her bag and sprawled on her bed, The vibrating of her phone made her roll over to the other side of the bed to grab it.
The name appearing on the screen made her sit up excitedly.
"Hey bestieeeee"
"Lexyy!!!! Oh my God"
Alexandra smiled as she heard her best friend yell out, the two girls have been inseparable since high school.
"How is Korea? Do they have cute Oppas (meaning older brother), Oh my God! I wish I could come for college there as well, you are so lucky".
"Justina????? Chill out!! Come on!" Alexandra rolled her eyes.
"What? You are lucky! I bet you are already crushing on those tall clear skin cuties" Justina assumed.
Alexandra sighed and said, "It is not what you think it is, they are just normal people and I have met more annoying people than the cool ones, maybe it is just because I am a foreigner from a different country".
"Well that is because you haven't gotten to know them yet, they are literally the best... anyways!!! I don't care, when I am done with the makeup classes I am dealing with right now, I'm visiting!!!".
Justina concluded as she chuckled along with Alexandra.
"Okay so let us talk tomorrow or something, I am super tired right now...gotta go," Alexandra said and waited for Justina's response, hoping the girl would agree with her.
Justina loves spending so much time with Alexandra that sometimes she doesn't care if she was busy or not.
Strangely, the girl agreed.
"Okay bye chunky bunny! Bye", Justina replied before ending the call
Alexandra stared at her phone for a second, "why is she cool with it, that is weird". She said and lay on the bed. "She thinks people here are like the drama she watches, I can't wait to see her disappointed face when she actually comes down here".
The thought of Ho Jun making her laugh throughout their hangout popped up in her mind.
"Well maybe I shouldn't judge them yet," Alexandra said smiling, she closed her eyes and was about to sleep when the door opened suddenly.
"I'M HOME!!!!"
Alexandra opened her eyes instantly, She saw Eun-Kyung dancing into the room.
"Oh, Jesus" Alexandra groaned out.
"Hello! My sweet Alexandra", Eun-Kyung said pulling off her hoodie and her sneakers.
"Hi! My lousy roommate" Alexandra replied in a low grumpy voice.
"Why so grumpy huh??? And why are you still asleep at this time of the day.... girl!!! didn't you hear about the party? The welcome party for all freshmen" Eun-Kyung said.
"Yeah maybe, but I'm sleepy right now and I am not in a party mood" Alexandra replied, she turned her back to Eun Kyung.
The soft pillow hitting her head made her groan softly.
"This would be the first party in campus, come on!!!! Get up before I hit you the more, and I'm not joking", Eun-Kyung threatened and hit Alexandra even more, forcing the girl to sit up.
"Fuck my life!!!"
"Stand up, this is still 6 pm, the party starts by 9 pm... we are not going to that party looking this way, especially you", Eun Kyung frowned her face as she pulled Alexandra's hair softly, "You need the salon, and I do as well so stand!!!".
Alexandra gave up, she knew arguing with her roommate is the worst decision to make. She reluctantly get off from bed.
SALON
Eun Kyung entered first, and Alexandra followed slowly.
"Welcome Eun-Kyung!!!".
A guy in his early 30s said as he hurried to the girls.
Alexandra watched them hug, she smiled awkwardly as the guy turned his face to her.
"And you are pretty!!! Come on you girls should sit, since you are here let's turn you into something fantastic", he excitedly said.
Alexandra saw Eun-Kyung's picture on the wall as the customer of the year, she sat and looked at Eun Kyung who giggled at her.
"You must be a new student? Beautiful! Beautiful!!! Oh my! Oh my!!" The guy said touching Alexandra's blonde hair, "you have beautiful hair too... let's wash and help you style it to whatever you want, we are the best of the best".
Alexandra chuckled softly, she was really enjoying how he talks and acts.
"By the time I am done with you... People will think you are a..... wait what's the word", he said scratching his hair with a big comb.
"An angel?" Eun-Kyung whose hair was being washed by another hair stylist replied sharply.
"Not that! Ermm!" He stared into the mirror seeing Alexandra's beautiful smile.
"A Goddess?" Alexandra guessed.
"YES! Brilliant my beautiful.... and what is your name beautiful," he asked, as he stared at Alexandra waiting for a reply.
"Alex or Alexandra", she answered.
Alexandra smiled to herself, knowing she has been loving Korea so far, one annoying person that laughed at her won't change it, she would definitely enjoy her stay.
After an hour of styling their hair, they got done and paid the stylist before stepping out, and of course, the outgoing stylist complimented the girls so much.
"I love my hair," Alexandra said as they walked out.
"You are welcome...." Eun-Kyung winked at the girl as they kept walking, "you hungry? I know a nice restaurant down the street... let us get something, I am famished" she added.
Alexandra didn't argue, she is enjoying Eun Kyung's company a lot, and spending time with her roommate isn't so bad.
After a few minutes' walk, they got to a restaurant, Alexandra was busy talking and laughing with Eun Kyung that she didn't get to see the name of the restaurant she walked into.
"I'm so hungry, what do you wanna eat?" Eun-Kyung asked as she dropped her bag, sitting on one of the chairs in the restaurant.
Alexandra's jaw dropped as she looked through the menu list, she looked up at Eun Kyung.
"Why is everything so expensive?" She said almost yelling.
Eun-Kyung took the menu list from her, she went through it and scoffed, "how is this expensive? I thought they changed the price with the way your face changed", she shook her head and called out for a waitress.
"Just enjoy the food, it is better than the school cafeteria".
The waitress immediately walked up to them and with a friendly smile on her face, she asked, "what would you like to order?".
"I will take chicken noodle soup and one soju, make it two bottles, I haven't had any liquor today, then give my friend?....." Eun-Kyung said looking at Alexandra who kept staring at the menu.
"3000 won?" Alexandra said.
Eun-Kyung took the menu list from her, she smiled and turned her face to the waitress. "Just give her chicken noodle soup, thank you," Eun-Kyung said as the waitress left for their order
"Are you crazy? Where are you going to see over 6000 won for the food? We can easily go eat the cheap meal at the school cafeteria" Alexandra worriedly said.
"Awww you are so sweet Alex but no, i see the zero’s are making you panic, America dollar is a lot different to ours…. Don’t worry you will get used to it,”. Eun-Kyung responded.
After a little while, their order was brought to them.
Alexandra enjoyed her meal, she finished the whole bowl of chicken noodle soup and gulped her soda with it, she made a little belch and looked up at Eun Kyung who gave her the I TOLD YOU SO look.
They paid and were on their way out when they met three girls coming into the restaurant.
The hottest one out of the three scoffed at seeing Eun Kyung, she looked at her friends and smiled.
"Hello cousin", she said looking at Eun-Kyung who doesn't seem excited to see her.
Alexandra saw Eun Kyung's reaction.
"Hi, Na Na" Eun-Kyung replied fake smiling at the girl.
Nana gave no response, she turned her face at Alexandra and smiled as she looked at her from hair down to the sneakers she wore.
"Let us go girls", NaNa said as she walked in with her friends.
Eun Kyung rolled her eyes as she kept walking, Alexandra who was weirded out followed her roommate.
"What was that? She called you cousin but doesn't seem that way, she looked at you strangely and you also look at her the same way", Alexandra said.
"Forget about her, I don't wanna talk about it, she is not worthy to be called my cousin after all", Eun Kyung replied.
"You seem upset right now... what is going on?", Alex curiously asked. “How are you cousins but acted like total strangers?”.
Eun-Kyung hesitated at first but after seeing Alexandra's curious face, she decided to tell her what she wanted to hear.
