Did I thank Killian? I can't recall anything like that. "He asked me to become his friend. So, I accepted his friendship. He didn't ask for anything else. Also, Killian said that he was visiting his home in the fae world."

"What does he look like?" She probes further. "Does he have dark hair?"

"Yes." I wonder what it's about. "Killian has dark hair and pale skin."

"He must be from the Unseelie court, or he's a wilding." My mother inhales sharply. "Being a friend with any fae isn't good, especially someone from the Unseelie court."
