"AAHHH!" Thalia Grace screamed, and lightning fell from the sky, striking her spear like a lightning rod before launching the lightning bolt that slammed into Percy Jackson's chest, sending him flying a few feet where he was.

Percy sat down somewhat dazed on the floor. There was a burning smell, and he had the feeling that it was his clothes and part of his chest.

"Thalía!" Chiron exclaimed "Enough! Stop right now!

But Thalía was not the only one who was angry, Percy like many demigods had inherited divine father traits, so she stood up and wished that the whole stream that marked the division between the 'Capture the Flag' teams would grow. The water swirled, pulling hundreds of gallons of water from both directions of the stream, reacting to the emotions of Poseidon's son in a large icy funnel-shaped cloud.

"Percy!" Chiron exclaimed, although it was also a plea for him to stop.

Percy was about to throw everything at Thalia, when he and many of the others who were present saw something in the forest

There was a strange flash before huge black doors appeared in the clearing, emerging from the ground abruptly.

The great doors were embedded with large black chains of Stygian iron that extended from them and sunk deep into the earth. And the appearance of the door alone was enough to alarm everyone, but only Chiron recognized it, and his face immediately paled.

"To arms! Those are the Doors of Death! Monsters are coming!" shouted Chiron just as the door burst open with a horrible sound. Thalía and Percy looked at each other for a moment, any disagreement they had a few moments ago, could wait until this was resolved.

The first creatures to emerge were a Lestrigonian giants who led the charge with their hands holding flaming rocks like cannonballs as well as metal balls, followed by cyclops, hellhounds, dracaenas and several other monsters that Percy and others did not have time to distinguish.

But before any demigod could react, from the concentration of water that Poseidon's son had gathered moments before, dozens of water whips came out to wrap around the necks of the monsters that were in front and threw them to the ground, causing the stampede of monsters to stop thanks to those who were knocked to the ground causing the rest of the monsters to collide and stumble.

"Well done, Percy!, Shield Wall!..." Chiron shouted to Poseidon's son before giving more orders to the campers. But the teenager who had moved closest to the others just looked at him in confusion.

"It wasn't me," said the sea-green eyed demigod. Thalia, who at that moment was the closest, narrowed her eyes and looked him in the face, as if she wanted to know if he was telling the truth or not.

But before either of them could say anything, a dozen hellhounds jumped on the other monsters and lunged at the half-bloods, but again to the confusion of the son of the sea and surprise to the others, spears, blades, and water arrows shot out of the same concentration of water at incredible speed, impacting several of the hounds of hell, as well as the monsters behind them that were rising up and/or pushing each other to be the first to attack the demigods.

The water projectiles killed many of them, before some of the monsters that had brains used the crude shields or weapons they had to try to block the other water projectiles, although many of them looked rusty or corroded.

The half-bloods also woke up from their surprise to join the fray. Percy, along with Thalia, cut off hellhounds who had not been killed by the water shells. Percy cut off the front legs of one and quickly turned to stab another in the neck, while Zeus' daughter stabbed one through the mouth, before dodging another, but they quickly began to firmly push their offensive against the monsters. Behind them, they could hear Chiron ordering the other demigods to form a line while Malcolm Pace and Lee Fletcher quickly did the same, while the sons of Apollo occupied the rear with their bows raised and the shots of arrows were not long in coming.

A swarm of dracaenas followed by several empousai slithered out of the portal with tridents, spears, swords, and bows.

Thalia and Percy had just killed the last dog from hell and were ready to face the next wave of monsters when suddenly both, as well as other campers, remembered who the temporary guests were at Camp 'Half Blood', thanks to a wave of silver arrows from the Hunters of Artemis being fired with pinpoint accuracy by most of them and knocking down a third of the monsters in the in front of all the half-bloods.

Mocking, confident smiles made their way onto the faces of many demigods and hunters. A few dozen monsters thought they could defeat them?... Of course, that's when luck began to change.

The next monsters that began to come out seemed to be better armed and prepared for battle, and some wearing what look like armor made of copper, bronze, and even made of bones.

But the one that stood out the most was one that let out a very familiar roar that echoed in the clearing, it had an extremely muscular body, with a bull's head with gleaming silver horns and bipedal feet. It was the 'first' monster that Percy Jackson could say he killed. Mrs. Dodds didn't really count, as she wanted information about the helm of Hades than watering the blood of Poseidon's son. The Minotaur roared once more when he recognized the son of the sea, his black and bright eyes were fixed on the demigod.

"Apparently, he remembers me" Sally Jackson's son couldn't help but say when he realized that the minotaur was staring at him, but unlike the first time the monster was armed with better armor than the rest of the monsters, including a helmet as well as a large battleaxe.

More arrows knocked down the monsters that the half-bloods and huntresses had in front of them, the fact that the size of the door only allowed a small number of monsters to pass through at a time, did not go unnoticed by Chiron, the children of Athena and the most veteran hunters. If they had reacted faster and the first monsters to come out weren't some kind of giants the situation would be much more favorable, but if they let out more and more monsters that would increase the number of those who were already outside and seemed to be more and more prepared, the situation would quickly become unfavorable.

"SHOOT THEM!" So Zoe and Chiron shouted more orders to attack, in addition to the centaur ordering some daughters of Aphrodite, Grover, Nico and other of the younger and newer demigods to go at full speed to the armory for more arrows and other throwing weapons, since the arrows could run out soon, as well as bring ambrosia and warn the rest of the satyrs.

For his part, Percy had his eyes set on the monster that had tormented several of his dreams, as the image that his mother may have died at the hands of the minotaur was one he would never forget. The monster roared one last time as it rushed at full speed at Poseidon's son and crushed a few monsters in its path.

His sword whistled in the air as the minotaur was nearby, swinging his large battle axe to cut it in two, Percy almost blocking the attack with his sword, but realizing that he could not compete in strength against the monster's muscular body, so he rolled to the side and tried to cut off the monster's legs. But Anaklusmos' edge collided with the protection on the lower part of the monster's legs and the next thing Jackson had to do was dodge the monster's next attack, which tried to crush it with his fist..

The demigod tried to attack the head of the minotaur, in the exposed parts, taking advantage of the fact that when trying to crush Poseidon's son with his fist, he hunched his body, but he turned his head so that his helmet blocked Jackson's thrust.

Over the next four minutes of combat it became increasingly clear to Percy that the minotaur was far more capable than he thought, having to roll, dodge, retreat, barely deflect axe attacks and even jump to the side or backward to gain distance. But fortunately for the son of the sea, help came on the way in the form of Thalía Grace who stabbed the minotaur in the side who was too focused on the son of Poseidon.

Unfortunately the spear of Zeus' daughter did not pierce enough thanks to the monster's armor, which roared in rage before slashing with its axe, causing her to retreat.

So now the monster was focused on both demigods, watching for one of them to try to attack him, but Percy had some of his attention on the rest of the fight, so that he could realize how it was turning out. Although he kept the minotaur in sight of his eyes, and with what he could see it was enough to know that the half-bloods were being pressed back while the monsters that were now coming out of the Doors of Death, seemed to be almost as armored as the minotaur.

Jackson could make out at least six cyclops and seven giants holding large metal shields in front of them, with which they were covering themselves from the arrows of campers or hunters, and that some other monsters seemed to be covering behind them

"This is not good," Sally Jackson's son thought aloud, however, he also noticed that fewer monsters seemed to come out than a few moments ago.

"Don't stand there!" Thalia yelled at Percy, but then the monster attacked the green-eyed demigod, who barely managed to dodge the blow as he rolled, but would have been crushed by the monster if Thalia hadn't attacked, saving Jackson's life "Focus, Percy!"

Percy grimaced at his cousin's words, but she was right, she couldn't be distracted, but she also had to keep an eye on her surroundings for any other monsters that tried to attack them, they could only hope that the other half-bloods would cover their backs.

While the fight continued and the armor protected the minotaur's body, Thalia had to resort to covering her spear with electricity in order to damage it, which worked, but due to the size of the monster she was going to need enough electricity to really damage it. But with Poseidon's son also attacking the minotaur at the same time, she had more opportunities to pull off electrically charged attacks.

Chiron's fears and worries were rising, there were no dead yet, but the wounded were rising, not to mention that at least three demigods would have already died if not for the quick reaction of the sons of Apollo carrying some ambrosia for the game of "Capture the Flag", which they poured desperately on the neck of a son of Ares from an arrow wound, but now he was out of action because of the blood that reached his lungs, although the centaur could hear the complaints that the adolescent son of war gave to the children of Apollo while coughing.

A son of Athena had ambrosia poured on his leg because of a new group of hellhound, one managed to reach him and left his leg like mincemeat, bleeding deeply and a son of Hephaestus miraculously survived an arrow from an empousai that hit him in the eye, but he had lost half of his vision.

Even if they had obtained some kind of respite, it was not pleasant at all, because this was because the monsters that were now coming out of the Doors of Death were better organized than the first ones to come out and were forming a wall of large shields supported by cyclops and some giants like the Lestrygonians, who advanced slowly to make room for the others who kept coming out. In addition to the fact that the more monsters came out to increase the size of the wall, the more difficult it was for archers to shoot them.

"Keep shooting!"

Only the hunters of Artemis were having more success, at least the ones who had more experience, the newest ones like Bianca were the ones who failed or could not kill a monster with a single arrow. And it was mainly for the few monsters that came out of the shield wall's protection.

But considering the distance now between the wall and the gates, the time that had elapsed, how many had been killed and how many were coming out of the Doors of Death, Chiron calculated that at best there must have been about 60 to 70 monsters already, if they were the size of cyclops and other large monsters, but if they were the size of empousai, there must have been more than 200.

If they didn't stop the monsters here and now, they would take control of that part of the forest around the camp, but with the number of campers left after several joined the titans' forces and that at this time of year there were fewer campers, even if they had the backing of Artemis's followers, many would die to stop them and close the doors of death.

Then Chiron's ears caught the sound of several individuals approaching from behind, he turned around in alarm with the bow ready, thinking that the monsters had surrounded them without any member of the camp noticing, but for the peace of mind of a centaur, they were almost three dozen satyrs and about a dozen nymphs, armed with bows mostly, only some with swords or spears, though only a few had hurriedly put on pieces of armor they could find, as the master of the demigods could see poorly put breastplates.

The centaur was also able to distinguish several of the demigods he sent earlier, bringing with them what he asked them to look for, as was the case of the young Nico running after them several meters behind, while carrying a backpack from the infirmary. Chiron quickly turned back to the monsters, only to have to move to avoid an arrow that was going towards him, but it hit him in the shoulder.

That's when it happened.

Something attacked from the very doors of death as if it were the force of an explosion, sending the monsters flying, at the same time that most of the members of the 'Half Blood' camp and hunters lost their balance and fell to the ground that trembled.

But at the same time powerful winds out of nowhere passed over all of them, knocking down almost all those who managed to stand and snatching some of their helmets, but these winds struck against the monsters that flew out and did not turn to dust in the middle of the air, preventing them from colliding and crushing several demigods, by throwing them back in the direction of the doors.

When Chiron, as well as many others looked in the same direction, they saw geyser of water come out of nowhere, from which a large amount of water shot out towards the gates of death where it solidified into a large block of ice, which only grew in size the more time passed. At the same time, a blurred blob that most could barely see, moved among the monsters killing them. At the same time, a blurry blob that most could barely notice, moved between the monsters, killing them one after another.

"PERCY!"

Chiron like some others turned around at Thalia's scream, only for many to panic, as well as their hearts wanting to come out of their chests when they saw that the son of Poseidon who had lost his balance due to the tremor and fallen to the ground was about to lose his life because of the axe that was about to fall on him.

Many raised their bows wanting to shoot, but they would not make it in time, only that something shot out at an incredible speed until it hit the axe with a loud metallic sound, saving Poseidon's son by the skin of his teeth who looked in total surprise at the axe that was buried in the ground next to him.

And before the minotaur could once again attempt to hit the son of the sea and kill him, the blurred spot that was killing the monsters moved so fast that it reached the minotaur, turning out to be a man who hit the monster with his fist, but at the moment of impact a powerful electric explosion was unleashed, killing the monster on the spot.

Percy, being the one who was basically next to the man, although his ears were ringing and feeling like a few moments ago when Thalía threw a lightning bolt at him, but worse despite not being the target of the electric explosion, and he was able to observe the man who saved him

However, seeing the same sea-green eyes when the man turned to look at him and the same face he had seen before in a specific god, the son of Sally Jackson could only think of one thing, which he said out loud: "Dad?"
