Chapitre 18: Eighteen
After the commander left, I found myself alone with Jade in the forest.
"What were you doing Lilith?" she wasn't angry with me and that made me feel really good.
"I wanted to come and live with you in your house", I sounded like a child running after an adult to ask for something.
"You risked your life just for that, you're really stupid, I swear." She held her face and took my hand.
"You're taking me to your house," I say enthusiastically, wondering what her house might be like.
"Unfortunately yes, I don't really have a choice, especially with the commander. Who knows, he might walk into your room unannounced and hurt you."
We walked until we came to a small house made of brick, it had been a long time since I had seen this kind of house, it was both simple and complex.
"You may now enter my spacious house," she opened the door and I entered.
" What's the honour of all this chivalry? " I looked inside and everything was warm, there were three rooms, the kitchen, the bedroom and the living room.
"It's not every day I get to welcome a woman into my home," she said, dropping her coat before I went to sit in her chair.
Everything in her little house was very tidy, it was very welcoming, it was the kind of place you would want to live in again, where nobody could bother you. A place just for you.
"Are you hungry?" she asked me as she finished making dinner, I suppose she was making dinner before she found me in the forest.
"Yes, I haven't really had time for dinner tonight," I went and sat down on the table, and she put a plate of vegetable soup in front of me, just by the smell of it you could tell it was going to be very good.
"Thank you for letting me try your dish. "
I started eating the soup straight away, it was really good, I didn't know that Jade could cook, and I couldn't do anything after all my mother never let me do anything on my own. We always have dishes prepared by famous chefs.
"You really seem to like my food," it's normal, it was so good that I finished it in an instant.
"Can I help you make breakfast tomorrow morning? " I said
I was serious, I really wanted to know what it felt like to cook with someone I liked, but with my family I had never experienced this kind of pleasure. That's why I didn't want to become a queen, because I would spend more time at conferences than with my own family.
"No, you won't even have time for that because tomorrow I'm taking you back to the castle. " I don't want to go back, I feel at home here even though I've only been here an hour.
"I don't want to go back to the castle, I feel much better here, you know, so let me stay."
I start running until I get to her room and I see that her room is as tidy as the rest of his house. I took off my shoes before throwing myself down and a few seconds later Jade came in and started to laugh.
" Are you comfortable in my bed or do you need something else ," she said with a vicious look on her face.
"Yes, I'm very comfortable, but if you'd like to blow out the candle it would be even better for me. " I respond
Her bed was really quite comfortable, much more so than my own bed, and I could stay on it for ages.
"Would you make a little space for me, please? I am the owner of this bed," she said as she came to lie down beside me.
"Sleep well, Jade," I said, glad to be sleeping with her again.
"Good night. You who crashes into people's houses without warning." Her answer made me laugh.
"You know, we really do look like an old married couple."
Old people used to bug each other, or one of them would love to annoy the other.
"Shut up and go to sleep instead of talking nonsense." She blew out the candle and then we both ended up sleeping except that I made a point of sticking to her during the night, and she didn't seem to mind, on the contrary, she took me in her arms. It was a big step forward in my seduction plan.
Two weeks later, everything was fine for me. Jade had allowed me to live with her, the commander never mentioned the incident that happened the night I decided to live with Jade, I thought it was weird but nothing to be alarmed about, maybe he was just afraid I'd tell mum the truth.
My love life hadn't changed at all apart from the fact that I slept with Jade every night, she refused any other physical contact with me. Why is she so cruel with me. Our training was doing great because now I was able to make disappear one of her arms.
I think it's almost 7am when Jade wakes me up and brings me my breakfast. This kind of attention from her always made me happy, and she had exactly what I like to eat in the morning. Scrambled eggs with bread and fresh fruit juice.
"I can't eat today, the queen is calling you and me, but I have no idea why."
"What, she's summoning us," I said, biting into my bread, this is so good I have to marry this woman, I want to live like this every day of my miserable life.
"Yes, we've got no choice but to go, so hurry up or we'll be late."
"Yes, yes, don't worry, but I have to enjoy your food, it's delicious." It looked like what I said made him a little uncomfortable, but that was the point.
I finished eating and then went to take a shower and some of my things that Jade had brought from my room the day after I had moved in.
"We can go now, I'm ready," I say, wanting to jump into her arms, but she dodges me and I end up on the floor. I should definitely stop doing that kind of thing.
"Well then," she replies, then she watches me on the ground without helping me and I end up getting by myself.
We got out of the forest in a few minutes and then arrived at the castle, I saw that all the ministers were together, they were probably going to talk about the war again I suppose. Jade and I sit down and wait to see what happens. When two guards come up and handcuff Jade.
"What are you doing?" I say as I stand up, but Mum comes in and stops me.
"No Lilith, you're not supposed to help her, she dared to kiss you by force and then hurt the commander. She deserves to go to jail."
What Mum was saying was absolutely not the truth. I looked around the room and saw that the commander was smiling because his plan was working.
"Mum it's absolutely not true, Jade never did anything to me that I didn't want, but rather it was the commander who tried to rape me so if you're going to put someone in jail it should probably be the commander and not Jade." I break free of her hold and go to find Jade.
"The commander told me that you were going to try to defend her, he told me that Jade wanted to force you to kiss her, that's why I said she shouldn't stay here Lilith you have to understand."
Damn commander, I have to get rid of him and Jade wouldn't do anything, she seemed to accept to be put in jail and not do anything. I wouldn't let him hurt her.
"Mum, you can't put Jade in prison," I shouted.
"And why not?" she said sarcastically. I had to think of something and fast.
I was about to speak when my mother stopped me by putting her hand in front of my mouth.
"Lilith, let us take care of this and go back to your room." She said as she pressed a button and I saw Jade collapse to the floor and start to scream in pain.
"Mum stop it now," I shouted and my mother stopped.
"Well if you care that much about her you better not do anything."
That was the last thing she said before she took Jade to a prison cell.
