Chapitre 10: Chapter 10: Representative

As he sat back down, a thought crossed his mind. "Oh, by the way, should I go ahead and sell the gaming company now?"

"Need money?" Mohan's father asked.

"Yeah, from today, the supernatural events will start, so I'm trying to buy those plots," Sam revealed some of his intentions.

"You mean they've started?" Mohan's father asked, surprised.

"Yeah. You can also figure it out within five days if you use your eyes and ears," Sam replied.

"You mean...?" Mohan's father probed further.

"Yes, the government will try to hide the news, but anyone can find out easily," Sam said confidently.

"Well, I'll try my methods. And if you need help, I can buy those plots for you," Mohan's father offered casually, tossing a chip across the table.

"Thanks, Uncle!" Sam accepted it without hesitation and hugged Mohan's mother instead.

"You cheeky boy! I toss you a chip, and you hug my wife," Mohan's father teased.

"Uncle, why would I hug a bear-like guy when I can hug my beautiful aunt?" Sam quipped cheekily.

"Alright, enough flattering your aunt," Mohan's mother said with a laugh.

"Just remember to visit us weekly at 7 p.m., or I won't buy the plots," Mohan's father threatened with a playful grin.

"Don't worry, Uncle. I'll always come." Sam smiled, then a thought crossed his mind. He suddenly decided to share something important. "Uncle, Aunt, please take these small boxes," he said, handing over three small, mysterious boxes.

"You didn't mention these before?" Mohan's father questioned, intrigued.

"Dad, what didn't he tell you?" Mohan's voice echoed as he walked in.

"Alright, since you're here, I'll reveal it to you too," Sam said. Glancing at the small boxes, he added, "There's a locket inside each of them. Please put them on your wrists."

Mohan and his parents obediently put the lockets on.

"Uncle, Aunt, and you too, Mohan, I'm going to tell you something very important—never let these lockets leave your wrists," Sam warned seriously.

"Rea—?"

*Smack!*

Before Mohan could finish his question, he got a smack on the forehead. "Ouch! Why?" he cried out.

"Just listen silently," Sam scolded with a smirk. "These lockets will protect you from the side effects of the upcoming supernatural events, along with some other things I can't reveal yet." Patting his chest, he assured them, "You can rest easy. These lockets will protect you from many dangers."

"If you say so, we'll keep them on," Mohan's father agreed.

"Thank you for understanding," Sam smiled and wiped away the imaginary sweat from his brow.

"Alright, everyone, sit down," Mohan's father said, turning to Mohan. "Mohan, bring some yogurt and ice cream, will you?"

"Alright, I got it," Mohan replied, resigning himself to his task, and left to fetch the treats.

"Uncle, Aunt, I'm planning to sell my shares in the gaming company. You both hold 20% shares as well. What's your opinion—do you want to sell?" Sam asked, revealing his plan.

"Sam, truth be told, those 20% shares are actually yours," Mohan's father revealed.

"What? How is that possible?" Sam asked in disbelief.

"Sam, initially, your parents gave us those shares to safeguard them for you," Mohan's mother explained.

"What?! Why didn't I know this?" Sam was confused.

"In business, many things are kept secret until the right time comes," Mohan's father said, offering some wisdom.

"Anyway, Uncle, Aunt, thanks for telling me. But I won't claim those shares. Please respect my parents' decision and treat them as your own," Sam said, determined to honor his parents' wishes.

Mohan's parents exchanged glances before Mohan's father sighed. "Didn't I tell you he wouldn't accept them?"

Mohan's mother shook her head. "Sam, you need money for your investments. We have enough projects, investments, and dividends to live comfortably."

"No, Aunt. I won't hear it. If I say the shares are yours, then they are yours," Sam insisted firmly.

"Alright, alright, we're defeated," Mohan's mother admitted, laughing softly.

"May I come in?" Mohan interrupted as he returned, carrying a small basket of ice cream.

....

In a secluded area where only the moonlight filtered through, a man with broad shoulders and a strong chest sat in an office chair, his face concealed by a mask. His voice was calm yet commanding as he asked, "Is everything ready?"

Behind him, another man stood at attention, his posture rigid, an emblem of a lion proudly displayed on the left side of his attire. "Yes, sir," he replied without hesitation.

The masked man pulled out a walkie-talkie, his fingers swiftly tapping a message: "Start."

The dimly lit area, previously illuminated only by the moon's glow, began to flicker with light. The flickering soon steadied, and one by one, holographic figures began to materialize.

Moments later, on the previously empty table, a small ripple of light appeared. Gradually, the flicker solidified, revealing a figure around 15 centimeters tall. The small figure glanced around, surveying the room before asking in a calm but authoritative tone, "Is every representative of the nations present?"

"Yes," a voice replied from one of the projections.

"Good. Let the meeting officially commence," the figure declared. As the words left his lips, a virtual notebook appeared before every representative, hovering in the air.
