I opened my eyes and was greeted by the sight of an unfamiliar white ceiling. 

'Where am I?'

I blinked several times to dispel my sleepiness. By the time I regained my senses together and could finally form a coherent thought, I realized that I had woken up in a luxurious room. 

Forcing myself to sit up, I glanced around while trying to remember what happened. I recalled the last phone call I had with Alex, and could somehow guess where I was.

Thinking about my last experience of wandering around in the forest, I secretly swore that I would never enter one again without proper preparation.

Considering how I woke up, I assumed I was passed out while waiting for Alex to come. After sleeping, my body felt lighter and more energized. It blew away my previous tiredness, just like that.
