Chapitre 1: Chapter 1
I am currently surrounded by a bunch of bandits as I was travelling through the dense Carvarian Forest just on the outskirts of Carvarian City. As usual, I am travelling alone so these kinds do tend to happen to me far often. There are 5 people surrounding me, but there was another one there who definitely looked like the one leading them. He has quite the physique which suits a man of his posture and height. It was quite the toned body which complimented his long grey hair which told me that this guy had some relation to the 'Fallen'. It's quite rare to see such a small group of individuals lead by someone related to the Fallen which could only mean one of two things, Either this group is filled with quite the extraordinary people or they are just plain dumb. But to be ambushing me in such elaborate and well planned out manner tells me that they are remarkable but, if they are attacking me then that means my identity has been seen through and they know who I am exactly. Well, that thought can wait for some time, but as of now, I have to deal with this lot.
Focusing my sights back on the leader, he doesn't look like the one to make hasty decisions and do anything stupid. For now, let's try reasoning with him, maybe I or rather we can get out this without either party getting hurt. I took a deep breath and said,"What is the meaning of this? Who are you guys?" I really do hate it when I have to play dumb but I can't go on a rampage again and cause catastrophic damage. The Archer was a 'Half Dark Elf', female. Besides her was a 'Human Mage', male or what you call as a Wizard. Both of them had started enchanting immobilizing spells to restrict my moves. The Leader waved his hand and said,"Settle down, for now, Briax, you too Adias stop your incantations. There won't be any need for them, this puny one is all mine." The Grey haired 'Brawler' looked kinda similar as if I had seen him somewhere before and I thought to myself,"Where have I seen that face?" And exactly at that moment, I recalled seeing a wanted poster while travelling around the city for a Grey haired man in the marketplace. "My name is...." as he was about to complete that sentence, "Granax," I said. He started to laugh in quite the ominous manner, the kind that would give you the chill down your spine. "Well if you know my name, you must know who we are." I finally remembered hearing about them from the salesman and the people,"You guys are The Tribulants, aren't you?" "Indeed we are", he replied and started laughing again. The only thought that kept going through my head was that what an annoying way of laughter this guy has.
"You must be quite the brave one to step out into the deep wilderness of the Carvarian forest all on your own." And here I was worried sick, that my identity had been figured out and would have to figure out a new one, but these guys here just to cause panic among the citizens and the neighbouring villages. "Only high-level adventurers are allowed into the forest by their own due to monster threats and other thing but it seems you aren't an adventurer ", he smiled and said. "You even look like someone who won't go down easily without a fight, and so it would seem that we have quite the target in our sight. Well usually I won't be bothered about small fry like you but there is something about you that makes it quite interesting, so to conclude YOU ARE ALL MINE." The killing intent coming from this ginormous man was nothing to laugh at. It was enough to kill off an entire squadron of knights on his own. While he was advancing towards me, the others were gathering behind him not in attacking stance, but to see their boss annihilate a high-level guy.
"Unfortunate? Me? Are you sure you aren't talking about yourselves? I was not wrong to think that you guys were smart and well planned. This ambush is quite the setup and is enough to kill a group of high-level adventurers but, Unfortunately for you that you guys ran into me and my partner." "Partner? Have you gone mad and spouting nonsense? There is no one around here except you and us", Granax laughed. "Oh I didn't mean a human or any other race partner, I meant this guy right here. You ready REGALLAN?" "Finally some action", a voice came from out of nowhere, as a giant magic circle appeared beside me. I put my hand through the circle and drew out my weapon, my sword, REGALLAN. A long, thin blade inside a sheath, that resembled a Knight's sword came into my hands that I put on my back. "Shall we Regallan?" "Yes master", Regallan replied. The Tribulants had finally gathered themselves after the initial shockwave of the circle and were ready to attack. "Wait..... I have seen that sword. You can't be him. He's supposed to be somewhere else. Then why are you here", Granax said stumbling to his feet. "Looks like you have finally figured it out, What my true identity is. Yes, I am the one they know as UNIBLADE." As soon as I drew Regallan out of the sheath everything surrounding us had been reduced to rubble. "I think that's what you call going overboard", Regallan said. "It would seem so."
