11 pm Portland time,

the train stop was quite quiet, a man was standing back and forth carrying a black backpack on his back. He is Lukas, Miriam's lover, or rather ex-lover because Miriam has said that their relationship is over. The man took his cell phone from his trouser pocket while looking around at the quiet situation.

"Miriam," he said when he connected with Miriam.

"What? What do you want, Lukas?" Miriam asked over the phone, sounding impatient.

"I really can't be without you," Lukas said worriedly.

"Then there's no need to go. We'll keep going as usual, tell me your problem... Who knows, I might be able to help," replied Miriam, sounding firm.

Lukas took a deep breath, and fell silent, as if he was hesitant to say what the problem was.

"What happened? Why are you like this? Are you scared? Has anyone threatened you?"

"Um..." Lukas was confused.
