Chapitre 109: Chapter 109: A beautiful dream VI

Serena's words to queen Loretta were not wrong. Even though she wanted to stay longer, Annalys' injury was already getting better and as it is, she couldn't even spend dinner alone with Charlton anymore. 

That conversation happened 3 days ago and earlier this morning, the physician removed Annalys' foot binding and seeing that her foot has been completely healed, she was informed that she can go home tomorrow. Meaning, that she too had to leave.

Serena sighed. These 2 weeks have been so wonderful that she just wanted it to go on forever. Preferably without Annalys in the picture. Yet, of course, like every beautiful dream, one must wake up to reality. 

Starting tomorrow, she would be back to Kensington house and would have to spend her nights without Charlton. She would need to face the political arena again, for although she decided to annul her marriage with Geoffrey, she was still the crown princess.
