He ascended the stairs as Leticia's arms tightened around his neck, "You were gone for 8 days, Devon." He heard her mutter and he smiled, reaching up to stroke her hair, "I had important things to attend to, darling."

He could literally hear the happiness in her voice when she responded, "It's okay! You're here now."

Leticia was expecting him to take her into her room and maybe kiss her goodnight but when he walked past her room, she looked up at him.

But instead of heading to her room, Devon walked past it, leaving Leticia curious. "Where...?" she asked, looking up at him. His smirk was enigmatic, "Somewhere." The mystery only deepened as they reached another set of stairs, leading to a part of the mansion Leticia had never seen before.
