Chapitre 225: Demons in dreams

Duke Romulus did not wake up until the time of dusk. Although he was unconscious, he was unable to sleep peacefully with nightmares haunting him every few moments. And every nightmare of his was a reminiscence of his misdeeds, of what he had done in the past, of all the people he had killed mercilessly to satisfy his selfish desires.

And the nightmare that stood out among all, overlapping with every other recollection he had seen, was the night of the assassin attack, the day when he had ordered his men to kill the lives of the innocent people who in no way was related to him. He kept seeing blurred faces of a group of people approaching him with their hands reaching him while all he did was stare at them with a wicked smirk on his face.
