Chapitre 65: Headmaster's Dilemma

A dark cluster of clouds covered the glistening sun. The temperature dropped around the eerily silent swamp. Two beings remained floating midair as the flutters of the slaughter butterflies were the only sound that could be heard in the dampened area.

"At least we got the flag, right?" Damon turned to Crescent, who was still staring at the exact spot where Angelo was once floating. Now, not even a hair was left of him.

Crescent did not bother to look at him which erased the smile plastered on his face. "You are scared to be investigated," Damon concluded. He floated to face her. His eyes widened for a fraction of a second when he saw her tear-stricken face. Damon's curiosity-laden feelings urged him to move his right hand. As if in a trance, he reached out for her wet cheeks, a pair of glaring emerald gems stopped him from doing so. "You don't have to make sure that I won't run. I will go with those benevolent knights anyway."
