Chapitre 7: mission
He got off his DIY hoverboard and looked around, "so this is 'dragon's lair', such an obvious place".
The mission he accepted was to slay a dragon, "based on how almost no one picked this mission, this is either a too low-level mission or an extremely high mission, but based on the reward, this should be the latter", Ken thought as he entered the huge cave that looked like an enlarged crystal mine with blue gem scattered everywhere. The blue gems that were on the cave walls and surrounding work as lighting so it's not as dark.
"Oh? These blue gem... interesting, gotta pick these up... ah I have no storage", Ken frowned, but then he had an idea, he sat on the side and tried opening the space, he succeeded and he can see through the void behind it with nothing in sight. "Why is it the void this time? Last time it was the space though", he pondered confused. "Let's test it", He then inserted his hand inside, and he could see that nothing happened for a while. He then nodded and just before he pulled out his hand, A shadow came to his hand and bit it off. He then quickly closed the space and the black shroud dispersed before it can all come out.
Ken then looked at his hand which was gone from the elbow below. "That's surprising, I'm intrigued by this void creature.", He said while his hand was healed at an unbelievable speed by the surrounding air but suddenly it all dispersed before his hand could completely heal, Ken raised his eyebrows at his half-healed hand. At the end of it, a black substance seemed to be blocking his flesh, it seemed to be eating his flesh faster than it regenerates.
"Oh god, this is bad isn't it?", He looked at it with his back soaked by cold sweat. He then tried burning it, freezing it, soaking it, punching it, blowing it, but nothing happened. "F that Aion, never told me anything about this, so what if she's a god, she seemed to be as stupid as me", He ranted.
"That's rude", a voice resounded in his head. The voice was the same as him though so it felt like his own thought.
"Is that you Aion? Help me or I won't be sorry"
"Is that supposed to be a threat? Oh, you're cute when you're in panic like that fufufufu", hearing that in his own voice Ken got a new feeling inside his heart and that was grossing.
"Well it's actually really simple, it's the creature of the void so you can only kill it using void energy.
"Something so simple.. did you really finish high school?", the voice said mockingly.
Ken's expression turned ugly not because of the words but because it's true that he cheated most of the exams.
"Don't underestimate me okay I managed to live to that day after all". After hearing no response, Ken tried to open the space again but this time he shaped it like a saber and tried moving it, which was so hard but he endured.
three hours later he could move it freely, oftentimes he stopped it because of the shadow that was leaking from it.
"Alright I'm ready", He then focused and cut the shroud and it dispersed but this time it looked like it was absorbed into the void not dispersed into the air. He then sighed a sigh of relief and continued going deeper as his hand healed fully this time.
He arrived in front of a big dragon that looked like an ice dragon, with crystal blue color all over and scales that seemed to be made out of crystal, which made it seem like an ice statue.
The dragon then moved and launched its first attack, It breathed the ice element around it and blew it all towards Ken in one go
"Crosswind", Ken said while using air elements all around him and making a shield with many awry airs, the frost blow is blocked by the air which made the trajectory change.
"Ahh so cool I better shout out the name of the spell in the future, the feeling is relieving", he said as he recalled all the spell names he read on earth.
The dragon roared and thousands of ice needles were created in the air, and thrown toward Ken that was charging a fireball on his right hand and controlling the crosswind on his left, then he no longer used the crosswind and instead created a layer of solid rock in front of him, the ice needles were completely blocked by the rock and then he said, "my turn now, fireball!", He said as he threw the blue blazing fireball towards the ice dragon, who cast a layer of an ice wall around it.
Even Ken also put layers of solid rock and even created a layer of tungsten around him which consumes his elemene faster so he only surrounded his body with it. He knew how destructive this fireball can be based on his experience.
When the fireball collided with the ice barrier created by the ice dragon, it then exploded and destroyed layer by layer of the ice barrier and quickly reached the unprepared ice dragon.
BOOMMMM
A deafening, loud sound could be heard around him, Ken coughed out a mouthful of blood, while his eardrums broke into pieces before being healed again.
after several moments, Ken removed his solid rocks as well as the tungsten around him. and looked at the destroyed.. no, obliterated, melted cave in front of him.
Good fight huh, he then looked at the bleeding and burning dragon's corpse. He walked towards it while stepping on some fire while on it, he had long realized this but he can't be burned or frozen, however, he was still wondering how he died in a shockwave.
He plucked the dragon's head after cutting it off its body and brought it with him while He coated it with soil so it's not suspicious.
When he arrived at the town again, he showed his identity and the guards let him in, he then went into the mission hall to get his reward. Several players noticed him bringing something and looked at the ball of soil in his hand with an intrigued gaze.
*plop*, the dragon's head is put on the table and the receptionist put the money on the table and the dragon's head in the soil instantly disappeared leaving only a lump of soil there. He then picked up the money and went to the inn he visited earlier today. He then paid and went to his room, before he stay, the inn seemed to have a public bathroom, and he then went out to buy clothes, He then went into the store and chose some casual outfits with a white shirt, and blue jacket, and brown jeans. He then went into the inn again, cleaned himself in the bathroom, and put on his new clothes, he instantly threw his ragged clothes which he never got to change since the beginning into the trash.
He returned to his room and quickly slept after doing some exercise with his powers.
