Nyx appeared on the roof as soon as Severus left and he stood where he had been sitting.

He looked at his old friend and partner. "You are smiling Argos. Careful, your emotions are starting to poke through your mean façade."

"Who is smiling?" The hound frowned in response.

"Just tell your son that you are proud of him. Why must you make everything complicated? Nyx asked him. He has done a great job at guiding my wife and protecting her so far. Even his loyalty is to her, completely." 

Argos dismissed Nyx's advise. The reaper was a soon to be father, he knew nothing about raising children. "Hound pups are not strengthened by praise. My coldness makes him stronger because he wants to prove that he can be great on his own. We should discuss the green flame more. That thing is getting stronger as your little wife grows stronger. If she is not careful, it will devour her."
