Chapitre 211: Warmth

Once Lucian entered the tent, he slowly laid the shivering Ave to the side before he turned and zipped the entrance to close out the howling cold wind outside. Despite being inside the tent, and because there was no fire but only the lamp to work as a warmer, Ave was still shaking from the cold, her teeth chattering as she curled up on the small bed in the tent. The snow on her coat had begun to melt into water, wetting the fabric that was supposed to provide her with warmth.

Lucian stared at her in contemplation of how to help her feel warmer, and though he knew what to do, he feared that it might be torture for both of them, especially when he had decided not to ever do anything that would initiate sexual intimacy between them. However, one thing was for certain, he couldn't watch his wife suffer this much from the cold.
