While Ren dealt fiercely with the aliens and the rest of the soldiers engaged with their enemies, some students had managed to sneak out of the shelter under the commander's nose. He was just about to lock down the doors so he too could join his soldiers in the fight, maybe that was enough distraction for Janet to cover a number under her spell while they snuck out.

For a warship the size of the one that had crashed into the outpost, there were meant to be at least 500 Dhairgis onboard. It was very much expected when a multitude of them poured out from within, engaging the soldiers. Their numbers were more than the human soldiers, so they soon began overpowering the humans, not to mention, there seemed to not be that many high ranking soldiers on ground at the time of the attack.
