Chapitre 5: Returning To The Center Of Power And Wealth Of The Chaebol
Jin Yang-cheol's heart was in turmoil!
Could his family really have produced a genius?
But as soon as this thought surfaced, he grew suspicious. Naturally cautious, Yang-cheol considered another possibility: perhaps Do-jun was simply a mouthpiece for someone else. Could there be another influence behind him?
His gaze shifted sharply to his fourth son, Jin Yoon-ki, Do-jun's father.
Could Yoon-ki have coached his son? As the youngest, Yoon-ki had once been Yang-cheol's favorite, cherished especially since he was the last-born and the only son with a different mother—a woman Yang-cheol had loved deeply but who had passed away shortly after Yoon-ki was born. This made Yang-cheol favor his youngest son even more.
However, as he grew up, Yoon-ki had shown little to no interest in the family business, preferring to make films instead. He even defied his father by marrying a movie star, which led to a lasting fallout. For Yang-cheol, betrayal by anyone, even his son, was unacceptable, and he cut Yoon-ki off, severing contact for ten years.
But today, could it be that Yoon-ki wanted to reconcile, using his son as a way to impress him?
Yet, as he looked over, Yang-cheol noticed Yoon-ki's stunned expression. He was visibly confused, staring at Do-jun in shock. He couldn't understand the political terminology or the proverbs his son had used. When had his child become so impressive? He'd only seen Do-jun frequent the library recently—but he'd assumed it was to read comic books!
From his reaction, Yang-cheol could tell this was no act, and it definitely wasn't Yoon-ki's doing.
"So… it's true… this little Do-jun is genuinely gifted?"

"How do you know all this?" Yang-cheol asked, his eyes piercing into Do-jun.
Do-jun was ready with his response. As someone reborn, he'd seen enough time-travel stories online to know he needed a quick and plausible answer when questioned.
"Grandfather, I read books, history, and the news," he replied.
"To understand people, events, and circumstances."
Do-jun continued confidently, "In this world, everything follows its own patterns. Everyone, from ordinary people to great leaders, has their own habits. Knowing their personalities and experiences allows for accurate predictions."
"I read a lot of history, biographies, and observed the development cycles of many other countries. I also read recent newspapers, filtered through information about the candidates, and came to this conclusion."
His calm, self-assured demeanor radiated from his young face, and the family's perception of Do-jun shifted.
At first, they thought Do-jun might have been coached, but now… they were beginning to believe in him.
This boy…
Surely there was something remarkable about him!
Even if someone had taught him, how could he deliver this with such ease and fluency?
Everyone turned toward Jin Yang-cheol, who seemed momentarily stunned, looking intently at Do-jun.
After a pause, he laughed aloud.
"Haha! 'Read books, read history, read news. To know people, know things, know circumstances.'"
"Good!"
"What an excellent reader!" he exclaimed, a glimmer of pride lighting up his eyes.
For the first time, Yang-cheol looked at his young grandson through a new lens.
Despite never giving much thought to Yoon-ki's family, today he truly saw Do-jun as his own.
This child of seven or eight, with a striking confidence and intelligence, reminded him of his younger self—though when he was that age, he'd still been gathering clams from the mud to survive. The boy was beyond anything he could have imagined at that age.
Yang-cheol turned and began to walk away, leaving behind a single statement:
"Very well. From now on, come to Jeongsimjae(Mansion where Jin Yang-cheol live) to see your grandpa."

Boom!
The older sons and youngest daughter exchanged shocked looks.
What did this mean?
It meant that Yoon-ki's family, previously excluded from any hope of inheritance, was once again in the race, recognized as true family members by Chairman Jin.
This center of wealth and power worth hunderds of trillions of won now had another serious contender—thanks to a seven-year-old child!
