Ochaco dragged Izuku to the floor where she was previously sitting. She was chatting away, leaving Izuku unsure if she knew he was still there or not. Tsu, Lida, and Todoroki greeted Midoriya and beckoned him to sit, which he undertook. Izuku tried keeping up with all the words spilling from Ochaco's mouth; he chimed in now and again. Izuku relaxed; he didn't need to think about Katsuki now. Or ever, for that matter. Ochaco pulled the greenette from his thoughts.
"Izuku? Knock, knock anybody home?"
"Yeah, what, sorry."
Ochaco continued babbling, losing Izuku once again. Katsuki glared at Ochaco, his leg bouncing viciously; as he devised all the ways he could ambush her. 'Knock off, Katsuki. They will always be better friends. You messed up the relationship. Discard them.'
Ashido looked up from her spot on the couch. Her raccoon eyes looked over Bakugou's body language, trying to determine what was happening. She looked toward the area of Katsuki's glare, her eyes widening with realization.
Mina casually got up from her spot on the couch and grabbed Bakugou by the arm. She lugged him into the kitchen and smiled at him. Katsuki looked at her, unamused.
"What?"
"Kats, are you doubtful of Ochako?" Mina asked, her arms resisted over her chest.
Katsuki tensed, and he glared at the person in front of him. 'Why the fuck would I be envious of that nerd and round face?' Katsuki averted his eyes from Mina, trying to ignore her nagging stare. Ashido reached out, her fingertips brushing Katsuki's arm. He let a soft "tch" slip his lips as if he was saying yes. Mina gently extended her hand over his arm in a comforting manner, trying to soothe him.
"Awe, that's cute. Do you require my help?"
"No, I don't need your help, raccoon eyes."
A bunch of rough coughing startled the two. Katsuki's sixth mom sense kicked in, and he rushed out of the kitchen to investigate and find the source of the sound.

Izuku laughed along with his group, trying to enjoy quality time with them. Tsu began telling a story, and Izuku tried his hardest to stay focused on what ze was voicing. Izuku's mind started wandering, his eyes trailing over the room to discover something else to fixate on. He noticed Katsuki and Ashido weren't in their spots from earlier. He sighed to himself and looked back toward Tsu, trying to reenter zir storytelling.
Izuku pulled his knees up to his chest and propped his head against them. Tsu continued zir story, only to slow when ze noticed Midoriya's change. Ze nudged Ochaco, nodding zir head in Izuku's direction.
'Gee, I seek the way our frayed relationship was; Kacchan and I could go back. I could never portray him that, though. He would just yell at me and determine I'm being absurd.' Izuku sighed again and looked up, only to be met with his friend's worried gazes.
"Midoriya, are you okay?" Todoroki asked, concern hidden in his monotone voice.
"Yeah..." Izuku trailed off, maintaining a hand through his tousled hair.
Izuku looked at the carpet, refusing to look anyone in the eye. He felt guilty keeping secrets like this, but he allowed no other choice. He couldn't utilize them fawning over him and trying to defend him. 'I don't want to bear it up. My friends can't know that I have Hanahaki. I don't require them to worry about me. I don't ask them, thinking I'm being selfish. I can't let go of my feelings for my most trustworthy friend.'
"Deku, are you certain you're okay?" Ochako reached out, her brisk fingers striking his back.
Izuku's back straightened, and he swatted away Ochaco's hand. His face was scarlet with fear and slight anger. He nevertheless retained negative feelings toward being touched, and of all people, she encountered that. Ochaco tried apologizing but was interrupted by Izuku's dry coughing.
Bakugou and Mina came back into the room; both of them suffered anxiety flowing off them. A broad layer of worry spread through the room, causing everyone in a doubtful state. Izuku continued to cough, his arm secured over his face. He couldn't allow anyone to see the blood and the red flower petals. His eyes began to water as the stinging and burning got worse. Iida picked Izuku up, commanding people to get out of his way. He was going to run Izuku to recovery girl.
--------------------------------
Izuku stirred from his short coma to an abandoned room; The transparent walls made Izuku feel depressed. His heart monitor beeped, alerting the greenette. 'Did I pass out after my coughing fit? I guess I did. I wonder who hauled me here?'
Recovery Girl rolled over to the bed in her swivel chair, pulling the curtain away from Izuku's bedside. The elderly woman frowned at Midoriya, digging her fingers against her clipboard. Izuku attempted to sit up, realizing something was curled up in his lap.
The greenette looked down only to see Katsuki peacefully sleeping. Izuku looked up, his eyes wide as he tried constructing a sentence. Bakugou started to stir, making Midoriya freeze in his spot. The blonde nuzzled into Izuku's side, trying not to be awake. Katsuki unbegrudgingly revealed his eyes, and they promptly encountered a pair of emerald ones.
Katsuki shot up, taking Izuku into a hug. Midoriya stayed still for a few moments before processing what was happening. Izuku hugged back; the silent exchange was comforting. Recovery Girl cleared her throat, interrupting the friend's moment.
"Katsuki, I know you were fretted, but I have to request you leave."
"What do you mean? He's finally conscious, and now I have to go?"
"I know, I know. I'll contact you when I'm completed carry out some tests so you can visit again. Okay?"
Bakugou made an annoyed "tch" sound but stood from the bed. He grabbed what scarce materials he had and left. Izuku looked at the door, longing for Katsuki to just come back. Midoriya knew better and looked down. Tears cascaded down the pale, freckled cheeks of Midoriya's.
Recovery girl swiveled closer, her wrinkled hand wiping away the tears," Izuku, I know you have Hanahaki. You don't have to tell me who it is, but I need to know; whether you are getting surgery. "
