Chapitre 53: Dark Matter Project and Dark May Project (End)
"Dark Matter? Well, it doesn't matter if you want to call me that." Kanaru said with a peculiar smile. He continued speaking.
"Misaka-san's clones aside, I'm now interested in that young girl."
Kanaru directed his gaze towards the young girl who covered Takitsubo from his shots.
"Kinuhata?" Mugino asked reflexively.
He nodded.
"She is part of the Dark May Project. There is some information I need to get from her." Kanaru said as he started to walk towards Kinuhata.
"But why the hell would you care about something like that?!" Mugino screamed.
She was very confused by Kanaru's strange actions.
After all, he entered this facility with a murderous aura and now he is emitting a calm and warm aura. From Mugino's experience, that type of person is one of the most dangerous.
Kanaru paused for a moment.
"That's not your problem, get out of this place and keep playing queen." Kanaru said as he resumed his walk.
"You bastard!" She was enraged, but contrary to her own expectations, she did nothing but exclaim.
Kanaru finally reached Kinuhata, she was covering Takitsubo with her small body.
She looked at him and opened her mouth.
"I'm not interested in super older people." Kinuhata said in a cautious tone.
"I'm not a lolicon." Kanaru replied with a smile.
"I'm not a super loli!" Kinuhata exclaimed raising her fist ready to attack him.
Kanaru's expression changed.
"Okay, let's stop kidding, I'm sure you overheard my conversation with Mugino."
"What do you want to know about that super damn project?" Kinuhata asked in a disgusted tone. Apparently remembering that project was not to his liking.
"I know most of the information related to that project, after all the data collected from the Dark May Project was essential for the perfection of the Dark Matter Project."
Kinuhata's expression changed and her head was filled with endless questions about the guy in front of her.
But Kanaru continued speaking without giving her a chance to speak.
"The information I need is about all those responsible for that project you know." Kanaru said.
Kinuhata's eyes wavered for a moment.
"You don't want information on the other super subjects?" Kinuhata asked. She thought he was the guy who helped everyone without any distinction.
"I think you are wrong about something." Kanaru said suddenly.
"I'm not someone who unconditionally helps people I don't know, there needs to be a benefit for me to do that. By murdering trash that do heinous acts against humanity, I have indirectly helped many people, but that isn't my main goal, I just want to kill them and those who stand in my way. If there are people who thought that because I don't murder innocents, I'm a Good Samaritan then they are wrong." Kanaru explained carefully.
'Well, it's not entirely true. My main goal is to protect smiles like Shokuhou's, but they don't need to know. But most importantly, I'm not someone who can save the whole world, I'm not a deity.' He reflected.
"But... what about those super clones?" Kinuhata asked finding something inconsistent with his explanation.
"They are special." Kanaru said in a strange tone and without giving further explanation. He continued speaking.
"Will you give me the information I have requested?"
Kinuhata frowned.
"What if I super refuse?"
"You seem to be refusing to cooperate. Well, I won't keep wasting my time." Kanaru sighed.
*TUMB!*
*CRACK!*
He approached Kinuhata and before she could react, he placed his right hand on her head easily breaking through her barrier in the process.
"This isn't possible!" She exclaimed in alarm. She tried unsuccessfully to pull his hand away from her head.
"How cute, wearing an armor made exclusively of nitrogen against someone who can control any element." Kanaru said in a calm tone.
His crimson eyes changed to a pair of yellow stars.
"At least I have enough power to use this ability." Kanaru thought.
Kinuhata's entire mind was like an open book to him.
He analyzed his memories for a few minutes before removing his hand from her head.
"You don't know their names and you barely remember their faces. Well, I guess it's better than nothing. " Kanaru said as he began to organize and reconstruct Kinuhata's memories with incredible speed.

Within minutes he identified the people he was looking for.
"Bingo." Kanaru smiled and he looked at the young women.
"I already fulfilled what I needed from you; you can leave this place." Kanaru said. His eyes returned to normal.
"Let's go." Mugino said.
Since she found out who Kanaru really was, she gave up her mission. After all, it is impossible for her and her team to manage to kill him. Also, everyone in the place is dead except for his team.
Mugino and Kinuhata headed for the elevator.
"I'll help you, Takitsubo." Frenda said as he tried to pick Takitsubo up.
Shortly after they too headed the elevator.
Kanaru suddenly remembered something.
"If you use that annoying ability of yours a third time on me, you may be brain dead." Kanaru said in a sarcastic tone to Takitsubo.
Takitsubo's body shuddered before the elevator door closed.
"Good and now..."
Kanaru stared for a moment at the storage capsules where the clones were located.
There were about 50.
But soon after, Kanaru started to head towards a metal door with a frown.
