Boy, was I pissed. I stormed up the stairs, my feet pounding against the concrete, every step fueled by the anger that had been simmering inside me since I confronted Matt. The shitty part of town blurred into the background as I left it behind, Ethan following close behind me. I could feel his presence, hear his footsteps, but I didn't slow down. I didn't want to. I was too angry to think straight, too furious to care about anything but getting out of there.
"You going to ignore me for much longer?" Ethan's voice broke through the my anger, light and teasing. "You know how impatient I get," he chuckled, like this was all some kind of joke. Did he think that was funny? Did he not get why I was so pissed off?
"Fuck your impatience! Was it fun?" I whipped around, glaring at him.
"Was what fun?" Ethan reached out to grab my hand, but I yanked it away.
