The suspicions in his heart faded when he caught a glimpse of the naive and innocent look on his daughter's face.

He could not associate that face with someone who would order him around and this was what he chose to believe wholeheartedly.

'Vonna is just excited about receiving her allowance.' He abated his wary thoughts with this justification. 

Having come to this conclusion, he glanced at his child who was staring at him with those big amethyst eyes blinking occasionally.

He now had to explain to his child that she had not done anything wrong and it was he who had a strange illusion that he had broken free from.

"No, Papa was thinking of something else." He gave her a vague reason and Yvonne did not ask for more.

Observing her acceptance, he decided that it was time that they went back to the previous conversation that they had been partaking in.
