The rain poured down relentlessly.

Far away in the mountains, soil turned into mud as the rain mercilessly pelted against their rocky surfaces. Hurrying under the cold and lashing rain, a single man's feet splashed against the growing pools of mud, sending brown sprays of liquid upward.

However, he slowed down when he noticed something anomalous in front of him. Pulling his gigantic raincoat over himself, he stared into the darkness from under a hood that concealed his features. He carefully traversed along the relatively narrow mountain trail, the sheer drop of the cliff just a couple of meters away from him. As if in defiance against the stormy elements of nature, trees and grass continued to infest the mountainslope alongside the trail, drinking deeply in the rain.

Lightning flashed across the heavens, momentarily illuminating the mountainside.
